Underarm Sweating Causes

Excessive underarm sweat can be a very embarrassing and uncomfortable situation for anyone. However, with the proper knowledge of some armpit sweat causes and cures (including home remedies) anyone can live comfortably with this problem.

Axillary hyperhidrosis causes excessive sweat that is resistant to all type of deodorants and odor controlling medications. This awkward situation often caused by various prolonged or chronic diseases, use of drugs, certain foods or beverages, anxiety, menopause in women or constipation. The underarm has two different types of sweat glands the Eccrine and Apocrine glands.

The Eccrine gland produces clear, pure watery sweat that does not have an odor. This type of gland can also be found all over the body and is heavily responsible for the control of your body temperature. The Eccrine gland also has emotional triggers to psychological stimulus.

The Apocrine gland makes the thick smelly sweat that forms in armpits. Though they have no real function for the human body the gland is attributed as genetic sexual scent glands. These glands can also be activated by emotion.

Some home remedies to help with underarm sweat include avoiding synthetic clothing, using baby or baking powder and pure tea tree oil under the arms, wearing mineral salt deodorant and limiting dairy.

Some other cures to easily get your life back from excessive sweating include Botox, Maxim, Drysol and Dronic. Only in very extreme cases is surgery recommended because it is an isolated procedure and is never a hundred percent effective.
